Wet felted White Bowl
This beautiful and sculptural wet felted bowl was created with multiple layers of Corriedale wool and kozo paper. The rim is embellished with silk raffia that I bought at Artfiber Endoky in Kyoto when I visited there in October 2025 and the whole thing was painted with black sumi ink. It would make a beautiful statement piece on its own or nestled with other black and white pieces. Measures: 9" length x8" wide x7" height.
Wet Felted Green Vessel
This sculptural and stury vessel was created from a variety of wool breeds, kozo paper, hand painted silk and cotton fabrics, and hand-made prefelts. I embellished it with embroidery stitching and a corded rim using paper cord and silk ribbon which I purchased in Japan. This vessel holds its own as a piece of sculpture — substantial enough to anchor a shelf or table, with enough texture and detail to reward a closer look. Measures: 9" length x 6" wide x 4" deep.
Wet Felted Scupture — Black, Charcoal, Rust & Gold
This sturdy, sculpted piece came together from layers of wool roving, worked wet and shrunk down until the form held its own shape. One side rises into a tall, curved peak; the rest settles low, giving it an asymmetrical, off-kilter stance — no two sides read the same.
The color moves through deep charcoal, burnt rust, gold and cream blended rather than blocked in, so the surface has the look of something weathered or unearthed. It's solid and substantial in the hand, with a rough, tactile finish throughout. Measures approximtely 12" wide
Wet Felted Collar with Petroglyphs
This felted collar, created with fine merino wool roving, Margilan silk fabric and repurposed sik fabrics and silk fibers, wraps and drapes rather than sitting flat, with a long, textured tail on one side. It's built up from a collage of wool roving and silk, with petroglyph-inspired imagery printed into the surface — small figures, spirals, and marks that echo ancient rock art worked right into the felt.
A removeable felted rosette brooch with a black center sits at any focal point. Loose black felt tabs hang along the lower edge, adding movement and weight. The color palette moves through cream, charcoal, beige and rustwith the printed symbols scattered across the surface like markings found rather than placed.
No two spots on this piece read the same — it's meant to be worn draped and asymmetrical, inside out or upside down, more like a small piece of wearable sculpture than a traditional scarf.
