Making felted hats is so satisfying. Not only does it involve collaging of silk fabrics, silk and plant fibers, wool and more, it involves sculpting the hat to a beautiful and flattering shape for wearing. I never dreamed this would be so fun.
Your hats are all so wonderful and creative! Did you use the same resist for them and get those wonderful shapes through manipulation of the wet felt? Can you give any information about the type of resist you used?
Thank you Suzanne. I created the resist much larger and taller than the final hat. You want it taller so you can make the folds as you want. I pretty much used the same resist with a few changes to the shape.
